This Full Moon promises to be a lively one!
Full Moon is naturally a time of tension and intensity. This Moon occurs in Fiery Aries, prompting action – and fast. Things which have (intentionally or due to circumstance) been put on hold during the retrograde may suddenly seem to be of upmost importance. This is a time when we feel driven to act.
Information and ideas gathered during a Mercury retrograde can be quite valuable. You have a different perspective, and often access to obscure ideas or information. It is also a time of inner growth and self-knowledge. The problem is we often can’t make use of the retrograde benefits during the retrograde. The information doesn’t quite process, it doesn’t quite make sense – until the retrograde has passed. Once Mercury is direct, the pieces fall into place.
We are a few days past the Mercury retrograde – the effects should have passed (or nearly, at least) by now. Now we’ve got the green light from the cosmos – time to move ahead, onward and upward! However, that doesn’t mean it will be an entirely smooth road ahead…
Mercury – now direct – is sextiling Mars and opposing Uranus. This means Mars is trining Uranus. This three-point aspect configuration is called a wedge, and brings a combination of challenge and opportunity. Occurring under an Aries Moon, and involving three lively planets, this may shake things up a bit.
Uranus is known a the planet of rebels, of freedom and most of all – unexpected changes. Mars is the warrior, and ruler of the Aries Moon. Mercury, is bringing to the mix everything that occurred, or occurred to you, during the retrograde. The result? With Uranus so predominant, one ‘rule of thumb’ is expect the unexpected.
This Moon, and the following phase, are likely to bring some chaos. Not the confusion and glitches we’ve been experiencing during the retrograde. This chaos is born out of a rush of activity. Too many things happening, in too many directions.
Be careful of a tendency to ’scatter your forces’. You will likely find that you have a new level of self understanding. The results of anything ‘reviewed’ under the retrograde are beginning to make sense. The impossible problems that popped up during the retrograde now seem solvable.
In short, you may find yourself quite suddenly aware of what you want to change in your life, and just how you want to go about it – on many fronts. Everything seems a bit more urgent.
While it is an excellent time for making long overdue changes, it’s important to brace yourself for a few unforeseen changes. Quick reaction, without over-reaction, just might be the key here. Unfortunately, that’s often easier said than done – however it’s a good idea to prepare yourself.
How and where these influences manifest in your life naturally depends on your individual chart. The common theme, however, is one of activity and upheaval. Ask yourself what has you ‘fired up’ recently? Where have you been focusing on restrictions and freedom? Where do you need to draw the line, put your foot down, or do some ’spring cleaning’? If you’ve been being a doormat (letting someone walk all over you) it may be time to stop it!
Be prepared to take a stand. Take the unexpected opportunities, and take on the unexpected challenges. And don’t assume anything is finished until it’s really finished – life may still throw you a curve ball!
